Baselines for Accession States in Europe

Promoting Clean Energy Investments through Joint Implementation in Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs)

Final Workshop - "Baselines in Action"

The BASE project involved a consortium of eight partners representing Austria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and the UK. In close cooperation with government and other national stakeholders, the project team worked to develop a set of baseline tools, methodologies and guidelines that will are tailored to the Climate Change objectives of the five candidate accession states participating in the project. The purpose of these tools is to reduce project development costs for investors, and provide clear guidance on JI project eligibility. Find out more and download the publicly available project outputs HERE including the BASE publication "Renewable Energy and the Kyoto Protocol Mechanisms".
