LETIT is a methodology and toolkit for local authorities. It can be used to:

  • Identify the sustainable energy potential of the many local assets that local authorities control;
  • Assess the costs and benefits of the energy technologies that can be applied to their assets;
  • Identify and examine the risks for all parties in implementing sustainable energy through public-private partnerships;
  • Integrate energy into local development planning.

It has been developed by a team of consultants, local authorities and private companies under a project funded by the EC's 6th Framework Programme (DG Research).
