EEC Consortia Project

The Energy Efficiency Commitment began in April 2002, and requires all major energy suppliers to meet targets for energy efficiency improvements. The scheme has potential to result in significant investments in energy efficiency improvements in the social housing sector. Energy suppliers are expected to have to spend up to £500 million to meet their targets over the three year scheme.
